Privacy and risk disclosure
This page explains how McCortex OI handles the information you share with the workspace, how cookies and similar technologies are used, and what trading digital assets actually means for the capital you put at risk. Read it alongside the terms and conditions before you fund an account. Nothing here should be read as a substitute for your own judgment about whether this workspace fits your situation.
What data we collect and why
When you create an account with McCortex OI, we collect the information needed to open and operate that account: contact details, identity information gathered during the verification step, and records of the strategies and risk limits you configure. We also collect technical information generated as you use the workspace, such as device type, browser, approximate location derived from your connection, and timestamps of your activity inside the platform.
This data processing exists for practical reasons rather than for its own sake. Identity information lets an account manager confirm who is opening the account and supports the verification step described in onboarding. Technical information helps us keep the interface working consistently across desktop and mobile, diagnose faults, and detect activity that looks abnormal for a given account. We do not ask for more than the workspace needs to function, and we do not collect data about you from sources unrelated to your use of the platform.
Some fields are required to open an account at all; others, such as optional notification preferences, are collected only if you choose to set them. Where a field is optional, leaving it blank does not affect your ability to trade, though it may limit which alerts or reports you receive.
How the data is used
Account and verification data is used to administer your account: confirming eligibility, applying the risk limits you set, and keeping accurate records of your positions and reporting. Technical and usage data is used to operate and improve the workspace itself, including identifying where the interface underperforms on a given device or connection and prioritising fixes accordingly.
We also use account activity to apply the automated risk controls described elsewhere on this site, such as limits that act before an order is placed rather than after. This requires processing trading instructions and account balances in real time, which is a core function of the service rather than a separate use of your data.
We do not use your data to build a marketing profile for unrelated products, and we do not sell personal data. Any communication you receive from us, such as an alert on a fill or a limit breach, is tied to a feature you have configured rather than to unrelated promotional activity.
Cookies and analytics
McCortex OI uses cookies and comparable local storage technologies to keep the workspace working the way you expect. Some are strictly necessary: they keep you signed in, remember your interface preferences, and support the security controls that protect account access. Without these, core parts of the platform would not function correctly across a browsing session.
Other cookies support analytics, letting us understand in aggregate how the workspace is used, which sections are visited most, and where visitors encounter friction before completing onboarding. This analysis is generally handled in aggregate form and is used to guide product decisions rather than to identify a specific individual for marketing purposes.
Most browsers let you view, block or delete cookies through their own settings, and you can adjust these settings at any time. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent the workspace from functioning correctly, including staying signed in or applying your saved preferences, so we recommend reviewing browser documentation before disabling them broadly.
Retention, access and deletion requests
We retain account and trading records for as long as your account remains active and for a further period afterward, reflecting the practical need to resolve disputes, maintain accurate reporting history, and keep the platform auditable for your own reference. Technical and analytics data is generally retained for a shorter period, consistent with its narrower operational purpose.
You can request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, or request that your account data be deleted once it is no longer needed to operate your account or meet the purposes described on this page. To make such a request, use the contact channels listed on the contact page and describe what you are asking for, so it can be handled without back and forth.
We aim to respond to these requests in a reasonable timeframe, though some records may need to be retained briefly afterward for the reasons described above, such as resolving an open position or a pending report, before deletion can be completed in full.
Third parties and data sharing
McCortex OI shares data with a limited number of service providers that help operate the workspace, such as infrastructure that hosts the platform and tools that support the verification step during onboarding. These providers process data on our behalf and only to the extent needed to perform their function, not for their own independent use.
We do not share your personal data with unrelated third parties for their own marketing purposes, and we do not sell personal data. Where data must be disclosed to meet a legitimate request, such as verifying an account or investigating suspicious activity, that disclosure is limited to what the situation requires.
If the structure of the service changes in a way that affects how data is processed, we will update this page so it continues to reflect current practice rather than leaving outdated commitments in place.
Risk disclosure: what trading digital assets means for your capital
McCortex OI is a workspace for configuring and running trading strategies; it is not a source of financial guidance and does not manage your funds on your behalf beyond executing the parameters you set. Trading digital assets carries substantial risk, including the total loss of capital. Markets in spot and futures products move quickly, automated execution does not remove that volatility, and risk limits reduce exposure rather than eliminate it.
Any figures shown inside the workspace, whether in reporting, examples or illustrative material, describe what has happened or what a configuration is set to do, not what will happen going forward. Past performance and any illustrative figures do not guarantee future results. Strategy selection and the size of a starting balance remain choices made by the trader, and no configuration removes the possibility of losing the funds allocated to it.
Nothing on this website is investment advice, and no part of the workspace should be treated as a recommendation to buy, sell or hold a particular asset. This service is intended for adults, and availability may vary depending on where you access it from; you are responsible for checking whether trading digital assets is permitted under the rules that apply to you before you fund an account.
